Chantelle Perera

Chantelle practices in the areas of Employment Law and Civil Litigation. She joined Rogers and Company in 2020, after a term as a Member at the Landlord and Tenant Board, where she adjudicated Landlord and Tenant matters under the Residential Tenancies Act. Prior to this, she practiced at community legal clinics in Mississauga and Hamilton for over a decade, where she worked extensively on files related to employment and administrative law. There, Chantelle regularly represented clients before the Social Benefits Tribunal, Landlord and Tenant Board, Small Claims Court, and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. Chantelle has also appeared before the Superior Court, the Divisional Court, and the Court of Appeal of Ontario.

Chantelle fostered her passion for social justice and honed her advocacy skills during law school when she volunteered with Community Legal Aid and spent the summers working for Legal Assistance of Windsor. She also participated in the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.

As a law student, Chantelle was awarded the Newton Rowell Scholarship for public service and superior academic qualifications, and the Ron W. Ianni University of Windsor Alumni Scholarship in Law for top results in Public International Law.
